Thanks to the Turbo of 924from model year 1979the power gap that existed between the 924 and the 911 SC.
The bodywork of the 924 Turbo was based on that of the 924. At the front, it differed from the basic model in numerous air intakes:
- vertical air slots in the front grille for brake and oil cooler air intake,
- four air intakes between the headlamps and one air slot NACA on the right-hand side in the engine bonnet for ventilation and ventilation of the engine bonnet.
On the rear bonnet of the 924 Turbo A black rear spoiler was fitted. The aluminium wheels in the spoked design were fixed with five wheel nuts instead of four (as in the 924 base).
The inline engine at four cylinders from 2.0 litres supercharged by the 924 Turbo initially delivered a power of 170 HP. In the model year 1981 the efficiency of the aggregate was improved and thus the power was also increased to 177 HP.
