A representation of the legendary racing cars of the house in Stuttgart.
La 356 SL of 1951 thanks to its aluminium bodywork, a'excellent aerodynamics and an extremely high torsional stiffness, it proved ideal for racing. To the point of winning at its first participation, the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1951in the 1,100 cc category. Success repeated in the 1952.
La 2.0 R of 1967In the spring of that year, four prototypes emerged from the company's experimental department in Stoccada, a process in which every possible component was replaced by a lighter counterpart. Most of the panels have been remade in fibreglass including the doors, bonnet, engine cover and bumpers, which together with the minimised interior allow the 2.0 R to weigh only 810 kg.
La ST was conceived for very limited racing production. The cars were available with engines from 2.0, 2.3, 2.4 e 2.5 of displacement, with a power of 270 HP for the 2.5 a 8,000 rpm. The reduced weight was around 960 kg. These cars have achieved numerous successes in both track and rally racing, such as at the 6 Hours of Daytona, to the 12 Hours of Sebring, to the 1000 km of Nürburgring and the Targa Florio.
La 914 GT in 1970 participated in the gruelling 24 Hours of Le Mans. It has positioned itself 6° overall and won his category. A remarkable achievement.
This is just one chapter in the long career of racing vehicles that continues to this day.
