Like the 964, 993 and 996, the 911 series 997 is available with four-wheel drive as Carrera 4 e Carrera 4Sin addition to the Carrera 4 GTSwhich offers higher performance.
Due to the wider track width of all-wheel drive, the body is slightly wider than that of rear-wheel drive models, with 44 millimetres more. From the restyling of the 2008Carrera 4 models are also recognisable at first glance thanks to a stripe red reflector between the rear light clusters.
