Since 2005, the 997 is as versatile as ever: it is available in the Coupé e Targa, Cabriolet e Speedsterwith rear- and all-wheel drive, slimmer and enlarged bodywork, with water-cooled naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines, in the GTS and in sporty versions GT2, GT2 RS, GT3 and two versions GT3 RS. Including special models, the range reaches 30 variantscomplemented by numerous customisation options.

With the design of the 997, the manufacturer from Stoccada has refined the character of the 911, giving it an even more dynamic and powerful appearance. If already the Carrera appears noticeably more masculine with its more markedly modelled back, in the models S, GT e Turbo more are added 44 millimetres wide. The 997 is distinguished from its predecessor by its more pendant, round, clear-glass headlamps, recalling an important styling element of the air-cooled 911.
