The car depicted on this product is a Beetle 1.2 of 1971while the one in the showroom at OriginalRace is a 1.2 of 1965 colour pearl white L87 just like Herbie.

He is the ingenious engineer Ferdinand Porsche to complete, in February of 1938, the first prototypes of the car that would revolutionise the concept of mobility: the saloon and cabriolet called Typ1 marked the birth of a legend called the Beetle. Innovation in design and mechanics were among the greatest innovations in automotive production of the period, making the Beetle the first truly affordable car.

Two models leave Europe to be exhibited in New York: thus begins the epic of a car destined to become a cult object. The Beetleas it is renamed by the New York TimesIt conquered the United States and set out to break all records. On 5 August 1955, the one millionth Beetle rolled out of the factory, an incredible achievement at the time. Production expanded worldwide and in forty years reached the 20 million of specimens.
